The European Federation for Laser Welding (ELWF) is an international non-profit association established by Laser welding institutes and laser welding specialists from several European countries.
ELWF acts as the representative of the Laser welding and joining community in Europe. It prepares harmonised rules for the education and training of personnel involved in laser welding, joining and related technologies. The Federation liaises with standardisation bodies and provides for exchanges of scientific and technical information. ELWF also encourage projects in co-operative research and contributions to the removal of technical barriers.
The Federation facilitates technology transfer through the ELWF Network. ELWF has been involved in several European projects, tooks the lead in the developpement of laser welding trainings centra as a disseminator of results through its members and through them to a large number of industrial contacts.
LASER WELDING CERTIFICATE

This three-day certificate course focuses on the fundamentals and applications of laser welding technology. The curriculum will address how lasers work, types of lasers, laser optics basics, beam delivery for laser welding systems, process optimization, and metallurgy of laser welds. Classroom instruction will be followed-up with practical hands-on demonstrations. These live application trials will demonstrate how to best optimize laser welding equipment to achieve the highest quality of welds by showing good and bad examples. Participants will learn how to distinguish between the different types of welds and identify the root cause of common failures.
